Place was suggested in a date night STL group on Facebook. We were out running errands and decided to give it a shot. Ordered: 2 Shrimp Tacos 2 El Mojado Tacos Nachos 2 Frozen Margaritas I had the Henny Colada and Passionfruit (you can combine flavors. My partner had Death Wish. It's good but not sweet enough for me. My combination was delicious and she actually liked mine a lot as well. Try them. And if you're unsure of the flavor they offer samples. They definitely will buzz you but not get you tipsy. The topping, condiments, yummy place off to the side with all these goodies offered was amazing. I, as you can see, tried them all almost. One dark red salsa damn near took me to the f'n king. We dipped fingertips and tasted it and assumed it was a smoked salsa bcus it wasn't hot YET. Lmaoooooo. Babe poured it on the nachos near the end and I grabbed a chip covered in it and ATE IT WHOLE. ITS NACHOS RIGHT!!!!!! I literally saw the light at the gates y'all. We are spicy lovers but that $hit was hotttttttt. I laughed it off but I got my butt up and got water cups trying to survive it. Be careful or go all in lol. THE NACHOS ARE EVERYTHING. They are flavorful. The chips are the perfect thickness and perfect cook to withstand the toppings. THE PORK ON THEM NACHOS WAS AMAZING. That was the best part. The meat on them bad boys was the BEST part of the visit. Tender and juicy and very flavorful. We agreed that the nachos was the only thing worthy of another drive here. The shrimp tacos were nothing to write home about. I like that they had 4 shrimp and the sauce was good but the slaw lacked flavor and it just didn't wow me. We ate them after adding to them from all the things I brought to the table. The el Mojado reads well but it had no flavor. The meat was tender but it was bland and the dipping sauce that came with it was also bland. I had high hopes bcus I desperately want to try Birria tacos. We both took one bite of them and discarded those.
Order: Grilled Chicken Burrito w/ Mexican rice, Black beans, cheese, guac, sour cream, & pico Pros: this is a hugeeeee burrito yo! They load this sucka up! They ate not stingy. The flavors meld together very well. The sauces are decent and pair nicely with the burrito. For $10 its worth it Cons: parking can suck. No chips or sides comes with the burrito.
Came in for lunch and this place did not disappoint! The tacos were delicious and filled with topping and good size for the prices! Also we gave their ice crème a try and it was so good. Service was great the girl at the counter helped out and answered all our questions and was very helpful.
With family in town and on a Tuesday we wanted some good deals for Tuesday. What better place to go than @tacoicecreamjoint Now these aren't tacos but the Buffalo chicken fries and the new Cancun fries they just added to the menu were the main stars of the day!I can't even explain how good they tasted! The shrimp and chicken taco was scrumptious! You know you should always go and grab birria tacos and not dip but dunk them mugs! Hate that I didn't grab some ice cream while I was there but I was too full lol next time.
Nothing bad to say about this place at all. I love it!! Food 5 stars, service 5 stars, the atmosphere there is 5 stars. Good authentic Latin food and service. Definitely a returning customer!!
